Mathieu Richet, who led the IBL in ERA with 3.30 in 2148, pitched a gem in leading Oslo to a 5-0 victory over the Tokyo Fitzies. Oslo is sailing along at 68-31.
The win was credited to Richet. He raised his season record to 11-4. In 8 innings of work, Richet gave up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 5. The Fitzies never could get a clutch hit when they needed it.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Richet.
