Ochoa Sensational for Foxes
|
Black Forest and Melbourne played a hard-fought contest.
In a tight game between the Black Forest Foxes and the Melbourne Meteors, pitcher Mariano Ochoa was terrific on the mound. The Black Forest right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Scott Merritt closed out the game, earning his 11th save.
Ochoa was charged with 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings for the Foxes. With the win, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-hander goes to 4-5.
"Every loss stings," said Melbourne manager Bob Meteors. "This one is no exception."
Black Forest is now 19-18.
