With 4-2 Win, Beefs Go to 54-48
|
Rio de Janeiro right fielder Carlos Saldaña had a good game, even if his team did not. The Jaguars dropped a 4-2 decision to Chicago at Beefs Stadium. Saldaña was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chicago has won 4 consecutive games.
The Beefs got a big at-bat from pitcher Markos Fakihi. For the game, Fakihi came in in relief and pitched to 16 batters. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Chicago a 4-2 lead.
"It was a good effort all around," said Fakihi.
