Fitzies Earn Late 5-4 Win
The Tokyo Fitzies topped the Paris Fleur-de-Lis, 5-4, in Intercontinental Baseball League action at Stade de France. The standout performance belonged to Tokyo pitcher and Putai, Taiwan, native Guo-feng Lee. Tokyo reliever Johan Combes picked up the win, upping his record to 5-5. Reynante Daquigan took the loss. Tokyo, at 37-65, sits in last place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.

Tokyo used the timely hitting of Gilles Parent to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fitzies on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I felt good up there," said Parent. "I saw the ball well."
