Aztecs Capture Close Win
The Mexico City Aztecs weathered an outstanding game by Chicago shortstop Bernard Salle to topple the Beefs, 5-4. Salle went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Hayato Tsuchida locked down his 19th save. Mexico City is now 61-46. Chicago is 68-39.

Jaromir Cermaka, who finished 2nd in the IBL in triples with 11 in 2144, came through for Mexico City with a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 runs batted in.

"We found a way to get it done," Cermaka said.
