Black Forest Downs Nairobi, 6-4
|
Black Forest picked up a win at The Den, bumping off the Nairobi Black Rhinos, 6-4. Pitcher António Colón was a major reason the Foxes emerged victorious. Preki Cvetkovic sewed up the save, his 7th. The Foxes improved to 51-56.
Saleh bin Khoury had a big 2-run home run for the Foxes in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Black Forest leading 3-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a splitter from Noah Tustain, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2141 draft, and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Foxes on top, 5-1.
"António did a nice job," said Foxes manager DP Woodford.
