Meteors Win Streak Now at 7 After 6-4 Victory
Meteors center fielder Sean Jones left his mark on his team's 6-4 win over the Tokyo Fitzies. Jones was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk for Melbourne in the contest. Melbourne is now 64-43, while Tokyo is 44-63.

The Fitzies had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Meteors going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old first baseman Wes Robinson came to the plate. Robinson hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 changeup from Tokyo hurler Mayne Rippon. It was Robinson's 12th double of the year.

"We've been playing some good baseball," Robinson told the Melbourne Times. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."
