Melbourne catcher Sharafat Mir had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Karachi Falcons, 6-4. Melbourne, now 18-20, holds down 4th place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.

Mir had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Ptolemy Venizelos, he banged a bases-clearing double to right-center, giving the Meteors a 5-4 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for Mir.

Mir expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
