Beefs Win in Glorious Fashion, 4-3
The Beefs grabbed a win, 4-3, at Beefs Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Mexico City pitcher Jesús Flores. Flores went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. Tiljad Mbizi, now 4-4, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. The Beefs, at 51-63, sit in third place in the Americas Baseball League North American Division.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Chicago right fielder Max Scroggs, facing Harvey Yeandle, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Beefs the 4-3 win.

"That last inning was electric," Scroggs said.
