Gutiérrez Now 9-9 After Subduing Jaguars
|
Starting pitcher Tony Gutiérrez had a solid game. He was a big reason the Havana Dolphins throttled the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars, 5-1. Bradley Blackadder closed it out for Havana, earning his 5th save. The win makes Havana 57-58.
Gutiérrez was in the zone all game. He frustrated Rio de Janeiro hitters while giving the Dolphins 8 innings of quality work. Gutiérrez threw 91 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 3 punchouts.
"Tony -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Dolphins manager Dan Farnell. "He was the key to us winning."
