Generals Drop Fleur-de-Lis, 5-3
|
The Rome Generals stopped the Paris Fleur-de-Lis, 5-3, at The Colosseum. The Generals got a big game from Abdul Karim Sarbans, who went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI. The save went to Lúcio Caso, his 32nd this season. With the win over Paris, the Generals improved to 60-56.
Rome took a 5-3 lead on Alberto García's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which García hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Paris pitcher Demessie Yusuf visibly frustrated.
"Abdul Karim raked," said Rome manager Tx Horns.
