The Melbourne Meteors beat the Daegu Monks, 7-4. Melbourne pitcher and Praia, Cape Verde, native Husien Karamera led the way. Melbourne pitcher Abracham Layar got the win. He's now 2-1. Baltasar Alua was tagged with the loss. Kumar Lata picked up his 10th save of the season.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 25-year old center fielder Nicolay Trønnes. Trønnes had a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Meteors ahead, 6-4. For the game, Trønnes had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Trønnes said afterward that "winning is the goal."

The 'W' lifts Melbourne's record to 68-49.
