Ottini Delivers Walk-Off Win for Monks
The fans at Monks Stadium witnessed quite a game.

In a low-scoring contest between the Daegu Monks and the Rome Generals, Vicente Espinosa, who led the ABL in innings pitched with 234.1 in 2147, proved to be the difference. The Daegu left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Monks win. Jamal Kirinyaga, credited with the win, is now 8-5. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings.

Galimberto Ottini was the walk-off hero for Daegu. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Monks right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Ottini said.

With the win over Rome, the Monks improved to 66-51.
