Palmchats Slip Past Coqui, 4-3
The Santo Domingo Palmchats needed 10 innings to beat the Puerto Rico Coqui, 4-3, at Estadio Santo Domingo. The win was due in part to right fielder Carl Carter, who went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Santo Domingo reliever Pavlya Lazarenko snagged the win, upping his record to 8-3. Hanus Kamas shouldered the loss. Santo Domingo now sports a record of 68-50.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Carter hit a fastball from Hanus Kamas for a solo home run. The Palmchats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Carter said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
