The timely hitting of Thao Trung helped the El Paso Thunderbirds down the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars, 10-3. Trung went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 4 for the Thunderbirds. Tien Dung Long went 9 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The right-hander, who finished 5th in the ABL in wins with 15 last year, struck out 2 and walked 2. With the win, he's now 16-7 this season. El Paso pitcher Tien Dung Long contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 136th hit of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 3-0.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Long. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
