Colón Surgical in Black Forest Win
|
The Black Forest Foxes tallied a win at The Den, throttling the Rome Generals, 1-0. Starting pitcher António Colón was a big reason for his team's success. He-ping Chin, who finished 2nd in the IBL in saves with 36 last year, earned the save for Black Forest. With the win, the Foxes have a record of 57-61.
Colón gave Black Forest a blue-ribbon performance. The 6-foot-1 right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.
"My gosh almighty, António was tremendous," said Black Forest manager DP Woodford.
