The Melbourne Meteors defeated the Daegu Monks, 5-3, in Intercontinental Baseball League action at Monks Stadium. Melbourne pitcher Kien Tseng had a standout performance. The loss makes Daegu 67-52.

Melbourne used the timely hitting of Yohann Schneider to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Meteors ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We did a lot of things right," said Schneider.
