Brooks goes 3-for-3 in Jaguars Win
The Rio de Janeiro Jaguars handed the El Paso Thunderbirds a loss at Thunderdome. The final score was 8-4. Leo Brooks made the highlight reel for Rio de Janeiro. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 3 runs and drove in 2. He also added 2 bases on balls. Rio de Janeiro reliever Yong-zhan Chien picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Tien Dung Long took the loss. The Jaguars saw their win-loss record go to 75-49. At the same time, the Thunderbirds fell to 71-53.

Russ Young had a big 2-run home run for the Jaguars in the top of the fifth inning. With Rio de Janeiro trailing 4-3 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from former first round draft pick Tien Dung Long and swatted a home run to right. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jaguars ahead, 5-4.
