Tokyo Drops Another One, 5-3
|
The Oslo Voyageurs topped the Tokyo Fitzies, 5-3, in Intercontinental Baseball League action at OsloDome. The standout performance belonged to Oslo pitcher and La Presa, California, native Eric Lamb. Lamb, now 17-10, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Earning the save was Cosmo Laureano. He's now cashed in 40 of 43 save opportunities.
Joris Steinem, who led the ABL in extra base hits with 90 in 2148, chipped in a 3-run home run for Oslo in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Lamb.
Now 41-83, Tokyo has lost 12 in a row.
