Rome Grabs 5-2 Road Win

The Rome Generals scooped up a win at The Den, dumping the Black Forest Foxes, 5-2. Husain bin Sariyah, who led the IBL in wins with 19 in 2147, was essential to his team's success. bin Sariyah got the win, improving to 10-8. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. The Generals, at 69-58, sit in second place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Afro-European Division.
Rome relied on the bat of Pancho Castillo to get the win. The third baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the first inning to put the Generals ahead, 3-0. For the game, Castillo had 1 double and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.
"Husain was dictating to their hitters," said Rome manager Tx Horns.
