Meteors Absorb 6-3 Home Loss
|
The Beijing Emperors took Melbourne pitcher Jack Darroch's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Meteor Crater. The final score had Beijing getting past the Meteors, 6-3. Darroch went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 4. With the win, Beijing pushed its record to 72-56.
Njoroge Sarahani came through with a big-time hit for Beijing. The center fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 6-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Sarahani told the Beijing Daily News.
