Palmchats Dismantle Jaguars, 13-3
|
The Santo Domingo Palmchats cruised to a win over the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars, 13-3, at Rio de Janeiro Grounds. Carl Carter, who finished 5th in the ABL in RBI with 124 in 2147, led the way, going 2-for-4 for Santo Domingo. Gilg Koch, the winner, improved to 10-2. He held the Jaguars to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 1 and walking 3. The first-place Palmchats lifted their record to 75-54.
Carter had a key at-bat for Santo Domingo in the top of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 24th home run of the season and gave Santo Domingo an early 3-0 lead.
