Black Rhinos Win 6th Straight, Take Down Meteors, 5-1
|
Starting pitcher Noah Tustain took care of business, helping the Nairobi Black Rhinos stifle the Melbourne Meteors, 5-1. Tustain picked up the win for Nairobi, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 8-6. At 60-69, Nairobi is in third place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Afro-European Division.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Tustain was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Melbourne trailing 2-1, Tustain retired Ignat Jivotenko, who lined out.
