Emperors Prevail, 5-3, Over Daegu
|
The 5-3 Beijing win over Daegu was due in large part to Duecha Jela. The Emperors second baseman was 2-4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Shang-de Kan snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-2 on the season. Lentush Nikoghosian suffered the loss. With the win, Beijing raised its record to 73-57.
Josh Bence hit a run-scoring double off Luis Ruíz in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Emperors in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Bence had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
Bence attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
