Beijing Emperors starter Dharmendra Sarmad pitched his team past the Daegu Monks, 3-2, in 12 innings. Kyle Miller got credit for the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. With the win, the Emperors sit at 74-57.
The Emperors got a clutch hit from left fielder Josh Bence. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Emperors.
Bence said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
