Rio de Janeiro pitcher Tim Aldridge did his part in helping his team defeat the El Paso Thunderbirds, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. The Jaguars improved their record to 77-56 with the win over El Paso.
Naruhiko Goto had a big run-scoring double for the Jaguars in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Rio de Janeiro leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a forkball from Jin-u Kim, who is a two-time Defender of the Year Award winner, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 24th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jaguars ahead, 3-0.
"I guess it's not time to put me out to pasture yet," said Aldridge.
