Stars Win with Late Rally
The Los Angeles Stars picked up a win at Field of the Stars, downing the Mexico City Aztecs, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Yoshitoshi Murata, who played a pivotal role in the win. Despite the win, the Stars have a lousy 13-29 record.

The decisive blow was delivered by Yunes Chekhemani in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off two-time All-Star Hayato Tsuchida to win the game for Los Angeles. The home crowd went nuts.

In postgame remarks, Chekhemani said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
