Meteors Rally to Tally 9-6 Win

Melbourne shortstop Hudhayfah bin Salah al Din was instrumental in helping the Meteors triumph, 9-6, over the Beijing Emperors. bin Salah al Din was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. Lynn Moore snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-2 on the season. Jasa Bogdanovic suffered the loss. With the win, Melbourne upped its record to 75-71.
Norbert Hogervorst came through with a big-time hit for Melbourne. The first baseman smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 9-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said bin Salah al Din.
