Emperors Use Late Surge to Win
Rodrige Siqueira impressed in the 7-3 Beijing win over Karachi. Siqueira, who leads the IBL in runs scored with 113, was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. La`nh Vu went 8 innings for Beijing to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs. He scattered 10 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 0. His record improves to 15-9. The win makes Beijing 87-59.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Njoroge Sarahani came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Karachi pitcher Way-ming Chin, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Beijing on top, 4-3.

"It all comes down to competing and our guys love to compete," said Emperors manager Kev In.
