The Los Angeles Stars and El Paso Thunderbirds riveted fans at Thunderdome.

Starting pitcher Joe Madden was a major factor in the 3-0 El Paso Thunderbirds triumph over the Los Angeles Stars. Timothy Adamczak earned the save for El Paso, his 18th.

Thao Trung cracked a home run off Driss Denis in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run blast put the Thunderbirds on top, 2-0. In all, Trung had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.

"I managed to get ahead of guys and keep them at bay," said Madden.

The Thunderbirds move to 83-64 with the win, while the Stars drop to 61-86.
