The home crowd had a good time watching the Rome Generals and Paris Fleur-de-Lis get after it.
Starting pitcher La`nh Vu was a major factor in the 4-1 Paris Fleur-de-Lis triumph over the Rome Generals. Vu yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 11-15. Reynante Daquigan was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 28 save opportunities.
The Fleur-de-Lis got a big at-bat from third baseman Pepe Reyes. For the game, Reyes went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 26th double of the season gave Paris a 2-0 lead.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Reyes told a Paris News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
The Paris win streak is now 4 games.
