Sarahani on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Tokyo
|
5 times is the charm -- at least for Njoroge Sarahani.
The Beijing Emperors center fielder tore up the Tokyo Fitzies to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Gitche Gumee Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Sarahani powered the 3-0 Emperors win.
"Sarahani was a tough out," Tokyo manager Meeks 17 said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Njoroge Sarahani doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Sarahani is batting .276 with 155 hits and 17 home runs. He has knocked in 69 runs and scored 95 times.
