Voyageurs Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Emperors, 5-2
|
The Oslo Voyageurs saddled the Beijing Emperors with a loss at OsloDome. The final score was 5-2. Cal Givens was 3 for 4, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Oslo second baseman scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win went to Chong-yee Ming in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Tom Davis took the loss. Cosmo Laureano was credited with the save, his 49th in 52 tries.
The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Givens delivered big-time for Oslo, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Tom Davis. The game-changing hit put the Voyageurs on top, 3-2.
