The Melbourne Meteors withstood a fine game by Daegu left fielder Philippe Mollet at Monks Stadium, to upend the Monks, 8-6. Mollet belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Wendel Lippelt saved it for Melbourne. The Meteors, at 19-23, inhabit 4th place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Wattas Mwenda? The Melbourne third baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Meteors on top, 6-5. For the game, Mwenda had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
