Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old center fielder Hsien-feng Lee, the Sao Paulo Toucans stopped the Chicago Beefs, 8-2. The winning pitcher was Mariano Segura. His record now stands at 10-10. The left-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits for the Toucans. The victory gives Sao Paulo a record of 81-71.

Sao Paulo pitcher Mariano Segura contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 6th hit of the season and put the Toucans ahead, 3-2.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Toucans manager Casey Blake DeWitt.
