Daegu and Karachi duked it out and the Monks came out victorious.

The Daegu Monks battled the Karachi Falcons into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Monks won it, finally, 6-4, in 11 innings. In the game, Daegu third baseman Bobby Wheeler went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Daegu reliever Cornélio Tender picked up the win. Mehari Youssef took the loss for Karachi.

Wheeler had a game-changing double in the top of the 11th. On a 2-0 fastball from Mehari Youssef, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Monks a 6-4 lead. It was the 21st double of the year for Wheeler.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Wheeler.

The third-place Monks now have a win-loss record of 78-74.
