Beijing pitcher Jhong-shun Lee did his part in helping his team beat the Daegu Monks, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winner was Lee. He threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Matt Gentry. Tom Davis got the save, his 17th in 25 chances.
Njoroge Sarahani, who is tied for 4th in the IBL in runs scored with 110, had a direct impact on the outcome. Sarahani contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Beijing up, 4-0.
