Black Rhinos Clip Foxes, 3-2
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Nairobi Black Rhinos and Black Forest Foxes.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old right fielder Rickey Baker, the Nairobi Black Rhinos stopped the Black Forest Foxes, 3-2, in 9 innings. Picking up the save was Ayman bin Ishaq, his 10th.
Baker contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Nairobi in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-0, Baker took a changeup from Yin-reng Chin and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Black Rhinos to leap in front, 3-2.
After the game, Nairobi manager J Stell applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
The 'W' lifts Nairobi's record to 17-33.
