Fleur-de-Lis Lose to Generals in Walk-Off
|
Aleksander Vika did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Paris Fleur-de-Lis an extra-inning, 5-4 loss to the Rome Generals at The Colosseum. Vika belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Rome reliever Cornélio Tender picked up the win, upping his record to 7-0. Reynante Daquigan absorbed the loss. Rome is second in the Intercontinental Baseball League Afro-European Division with a record of 31-21.
The Generals got a clutch hit from left fielder Kha'n Tran-Nhu. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Generals.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Tran-Nhu.
