A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Karachi Falcons and Melbourne Meteors.

Led by Artie Riley, the Karachi Falcons downed the Melbourne Meteors, 7-5. Riley went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Falcons. Oisín Raven got the win, improving to 2-2. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 3. Abracham Layar picked up the save for Karachi, his 5th of the year.

The Falcons got a big at-bat from first baseman Abdul-Wahhab bin Idris. For the game, bin Idris was 1-2 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season gave Karachi a 5-3 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Riley told reporters after the game.
