Daegu Monks starter Branko Kuchek pitched a strong game against the Melbourne Meteors at Meteor Crater, leading the Monks to victory, 6-3. The winner was Kuchek. He threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Adrián Prado. Picking up the save was eight-time All-Star Cornélio Tender.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Serafim Bexiga? The Daegu second baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Monks on top, 3-2. For the game, Bexiga had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Bexiga.
With the win, Daegu raised its record to 28-24.
