Falcons Win at Home, 5-2

Karachi pitcher Gia-Long Hoang had a large part in his team beating the Tokyo Fitzies, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Abracham Layar was called on to finish, recording his 4th save. The Falcons go to 20-33 with the win.
Steve Foster had a big grand slam home run for the Falcons in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Karachi leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a slider from Jamal Kirinyaga, who finished 3rd in the IBL in saves with 38 last year, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Falcons on top, 5-0.
Karachi manager Slu Baseball was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
