Melbourne Meteors starter Markos Fakihi was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Paris Fleur-de-Lis, 5-1. Melbourne now owns a record of 30-27.
In the bottom of the fourth, Melbourne third baseman Zong-ming Shih had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Shih stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 2-1, Melbourne. For the game, he went 1-4.
"Markos didn't beat around the bush," said Melbourne field general Bob Meteors. "He was all business."
