Voyageurs Victors, 7-5, at Tokyo
|
The Oslo Voyageurs picked up a win at Fitzies Stadium, downing the Tokyo Fitzies, 7-5. On the mound for Oslo was left-hander Eric Lamb, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Lamb. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Jamal Kirinyaga. Getting the save was Kwan-yew Lei, his 9th.
Oslo used a clutch at-bat from Leroy Claessens to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Voyageurs ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Lamb.
So far in 2151, Oslo is 42-16.
