A good performance from third baseman Rafael Hammer helped the Santo Domingo Palmchats defeat the El Paso Thunderbirds, 10-2. Hammer went 4-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Palmchats. Picking up the win was Mujtaba Mahmud Khel. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The left--hander struck out 8 and walked 5. The Palmchats saw their record improve to 34-26.

Yi-lin Han went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Santo Domingo. The 2147 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Dae-il Kim. It was his 57th hit of the season.
