Stars Thrill Fans with 4-3 Win
The Los Angeles Stars had to overcome a big game from Sao Paulo third baseman Pancho Castillo to leave Field of the Stars with a victory. And they did, winning, 4-3, in 11 innings. Castillo went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Los Angeles reliever Sebastian Sporsheim picked up the win, raising his record to 1-4. Pat Jones was tagged with the loss. Los Angeles, with the win, climbs to 20-41.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Los Angeles third baseman Juan Cruz, facing Pat Jones, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Stars the 4-3 win.

"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Cruz.
