The Sao Paulo Toucans took on the Detroit Blue Gills at Toucans Ballpark.

Roushdy Nkosi left his imprint on the 15-3 Sao Paulo win against the Detroit Blue Gills. Nkosi, who leads the ABL with a .471 on-base percentage, went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Sao Paulo's record now stands at 36-27, placing them third in the Americas Baseball League Latin American Division.

The Toucans got a big boost from third baseman Hansakaya Sampath who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Blue Gills hurler José Morín. It was his 11th walk of the season and put Sao Paulo on top, 1-0.

"We came out aggressive," said Toucans manager Casey Blake DeWitt. "We came out swinging the bats."
