Thunderbirds Beat Beefs, 4-2, Behind Kim
|
The El Paso Thunderbirds got a strong performance from pitcher Jin-u Kim. Jaybird stymied the Chicago offense en route to a solid, 4-2 win at Thunderdome. The Thunderbirds sit in third place in the Americas Baseball League North American Division with a record of 31-34.
Kim, the winner, is now 3-5, after putting the clamps on the Chicago offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 5 hits, while collecting 9 Ks.
"The key for me has just been attacking the zone and hitting my spots. When I'm throwing strikes and not falling behind in counts, those are the days when I pitch really good," said Kim.
