Aztecs Nudge Past Beefs, 3-2

The Mexico City Aztecs had to overcome a good performance from Chicago pitcher Alois Camber to claim a 3-2 win at Beefs Stadium. Camber went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. The Aztecs saw their win-loss record go to 39-30. At the same time, the Beefs fell to 41-28.
Mexico City used the clutch hitting of Piotr Westmann to snag the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aztecs ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Westmann.
