Falcons Find a Way to Win
|
The Karachi Falcons banked on Scott van Veen and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Melbourne hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Falcons, in 12 innings. The winner in relief was Allahditta Razavi. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. At 36-34, the Falcons are currently third in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.
The Falcons got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Areda Dato. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Falcons.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Melbourne manager Bob Meteors.
