El Paso Tops Mexico City, 11-7, Claims 2-1 Series Lead
Riding the 4-hit performance of third baseman António Ribadeneira, the El Paso Thunderbirds got a road win against the Mexico City Aztecs, 11-7, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. Ribadeneira was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Thunderbirds, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

With one out in the top of the sixth, Tien Dung Long put El Paso in front, 3-1, with a run-scoring double. The Thunderbirds went on to win the ballgame.

"We haven't forgotten how long this series might be, but 2-1 is a heck of a lot better than 1-2," Ribadeneira said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Mexico City in Mexico City.
