The Oslo Voyageurs soundly defeated the Rome Generals, 12-2, at OsloDome. Leroy Claessens, who is tied for 7th in the IBL in total bases with 150, let his bat do the talking. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for Oslo. The winning pitcher was Kigeri Muroki. His record now stands at 6-4. The right-hander went 8.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits for the Voyageurs. Now 50-24, Oslo has won 10 consecutive games.
Gualter Bonito, who finished 5th in the IBL in slugging percentage with .536 in 2147, contributed to the Oslo win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
